SALOMÉ II

SALOMÉ II, and it’s sister painting Salomé I produced in 2000, demonstrate the infinite power of control and manipulation
which can be achieved when sexual desire is brought into play. The mesmerising attraction of Salomé, the use of metaphor
and symbolism in Oscar Wilde’s tragedy in one act written in 1891, is exceptional.

“They say love has a bitter taste”.

Oil on canvas 60×40 inches.
