EDWIN PHILPOTT FRSA
Since my childhood I have always loved being creative, it gives me something very special in return, something else.
Getting to Art School was a big step and I switched from fine art to a vocational advertising course in the early 1970s for financial reasons. Mostly because I grew up in a rural, agricultural working-class environment and needed to survive, which meant London was the only option.
However, in the commercial world as an Art Director, Writer and Creative Director I have enjoyed a successful career becoming a Creative Director at Saatchi & Saatchi and being able to develop some great talent along the way. This led to developing powerful business ideas and delivering them across various industries as ’Start-up’ endeavours from Luxury Publishing, Renewable Energy to Audiovisual Immersive Experiences.
I have always been involved with the Arts through performing arts projects and other forms of creative enlightenment as well as being elected as a Fellow of The Royal Society of Arts in 2012.
My work is really based in finding and discovering, learning and sharing my creative practice with the wider community.
